Seven individuals, including four men and three women of different nationalities, have been arrested by the Anti-Narcotics Directorate for allegedly possessing more than 10kg of narcotic substances worth an estimated BD160,000.
The arrests were made in separate operations.
Upon receiving information about suspected drug dealings, authorities launched multiple investigations that led to the detention of the suspects.
According to reports, the individuals were found in possession of the narcotics at the time of their arrest. The items were seized and the necessary legal procedures were taken. The cases have been referred to the Public Prosecution.
The GDN reported last month that by the end of October, around 1,733 drug control cases had been recorded by the Anti-Narcotics Directorate for the year 2025. The directorate ranked first in the category of best field co-operation in information and operations at the Arab level.
