Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) vice-president Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa met with Uzbekistan president Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the sidelines of the official reception for the delegations participating in the 46th General Assembly of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), which was held on Monday in Tashkent.
The meeting featured cordial discussions and an exchange of views on a number of issues of mutual interest, in addition to reviewing ways to enhance sports co-operation between Bahrain and Uzbekistan, in support of the development of the Olympic and sporting movement across the Asian continent.
Shaikh Isa praised the excellent organisation and warm hospitality, commending the significant efforts undertaken by Uzbekistan in supporting Asian Olympic activities and its effective role in ensuring the success of the OCA meetings.
Shaikh Isa also expressed his best wishes for Uzbekistan’s continued progress and success.
