FOOTBALL – Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority (GSA) chairman, and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa received yesterday the Bahrain Football Association (BFA) board, all committee heads and members, and staff.
The meeting was attended by GSA deputy chairman Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa and GSA CEO Dr Abdulrahman Askar.
Shaikh Khalid commended the efforts of the BFA board and all working committees in managing the Bahraini football system and developing the national teams.
Shaikh Khalid highlighted his commitment to supporting the association and strengthening the status of Bahraini football.
He commended the BFA’s efforts in developing all aspects of the sport, continuously improving local competitions, enhancing refereeing standards, and supporting the national teams.
This reflects the vision of His Majesty King Hamad’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs and SCYS chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, which has led Bahraini football to many successes in recent years.
On their part, the BFA chairman and board members expressed their appreciation to Shaikh Khalid for the ongoing support.
They noted that Shaikh Khalid’s interest serves as a significant incentive to persist in their efforts and further advance Bahraini football.
