A new multi-year partnership has been signed between the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) and the DP World Tour that secures the Bapco Energies Bahrain Championship on the DP World Tour schedule until at least 2036, the DP World Tour announced today.
The extended agreement was officially unveiled by Supreme Council for Youth and Sports first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority chairman, and BOC president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa at the spectacular opening ceremony of the 2026 Bapco Energies Bahrain Championship, held Tuesday night at Royal Golf Club.
The tournament is being held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and play begins tomorrow with the first of four rounds.
The event features a total prize fund of $2.75million. It is one of seven events on the DP World Tour’s International Swing this season.
It was also confirmed today that Royal Golf Club will remain as the host venue for the 2027 and 2028 editions of the Bapco Energies Bahrain Championship.
