The National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) has introduced dedicated small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) services across six of its flagship branches – the Main Branch, Al Esteqlal Highway Branch, Suq Waqef Branch, Isa Town Branch, Seef Mall Branch and Muharraq Souq Branch.
The initiative is part of the bank’s wider efforts to strengthen long-term relationships with entrepreneurs and business owners through improved service delivery. By offering tailored in-branch support, NBB aims to address the evolving needs of Bahrain’s SMEs, which are an essential pillar of national economic development.
The new suite of services includes priority lanes for business transactions, dedicated services to enable faster deposit and withdrawal processing, and staff specialised in SME-specific products and services, including onboarding, Know Your Customer (KYC), and trade finance, among others.
NBB chief executive-retail banking Subah Abdullatif Al Zayani said: “Our goal is to ensure that SME clients receive the support they need to manage and grow their businesses confidently.
“By deploying dedicated business banking teams across key locations, we are expanding our reach to this critical sector, improving transaction efficiency and further reinforcing our role as a trusted financial partner to the kingdom’s SME community.”
This step contributes to supporting the bank’s strategic objectives, which include increasing customer satisfaction levels, reducing the turnaround time for SME transactions, and providing key services such as point-of-sale solutions, foreign exchange services, credit and prepaid cards and trade services.
