The Second High Administrative Court has upheld a decision by the Labour Ministry to suspend unemployment benefits to a job-seeker after it was proven that she rejected several job offers and showed a lack of seriousness in accepting employment, despite being registered under the Unemployment Insurance Programme since 2008.
The court confirmed that the ministry had offered the claimant more than one job opportunity, all of which she declined without valid justification. It ruled that a letter submitted by the claimant, attributed to a company and denying the existence of a job offer, could not be relied upon, particularly as it dated after the suspension decision.
The court noted that the claimant had previously rejected two job offers without justification, resulting in the forfeiture of her entitlement to benefits in accordance with the law.
