His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday met Kuwait Amir Shaikh Mishal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah.
The meeting took place as part of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s official visit to Kuwait.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister affirmed the deep-rooted relations between Bahrain and Kuwait, underpinned by longstanding historical ties that continue to advance under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad and Shaikh Mishal.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister emphasised the importance of further bolstering this strategic partnership to create opportunities that benefit both countries and their peoples.
HRH Prince Salman conveyed the greetings of His Majesty to the Amir of Kuwait, along with his best wishes for the continued progress and prosperity of Kuwait.
Shaikh Mishal conveyed his greetings to the King and expressed his wishes for Bahrain’s continued progress and prosperity.
HRH Prince Salman praised the advancement of Bahrain-Kuwait relations and multisectoral collaboration, affirming the kingdom’s commitment to furthering the partnership across all levels.
Avenues to advance co-operation and issues of common interest were discussed during the meeting.
Kuwaiti Crown Prince Shaikh Sabah Al Khaled Al Hamad Al Mubarak Al Sabah was also in attendance.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister also met the Kuwaiti Crown Prince.
HRH Prince Salman underscored the strength of Bahrain-Kuwait relations and the expanding scope of co-operation, with the continued support of His Majesty and Shaikh Mishal.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister conveyed the greetings of His Majesty to the Kuwaiti Crown Prince and wished Kuwait further progress and prosperity.
Shaikh Sabah extended his greetings to His Majesty and wished Bahrain continued prosperity and growth.
During the meeting, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister emphasised the shared commitment to deepening co-operation across all sectors – particularly across the economic and investment fields – towards achieving mutual aspirations and advancing sustainable growth and prosperity for both countries and their peoples.
While both countries also reaffirmed efforts to advancing the GCC, in line with the visions and aspirations of the leaders of the GCC countries.
In this regard, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister reiterated Bahrain’s commitment, within the framework of the 46th GCC Summit, chaired by Bahrain, to strengthening integration and co-operation among countries and to promote shared objectives and common interests of the GCC countries.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister praised Kuwait’s role in supporting and advancing bilateral relations, and its steadfast support for Bahrain, emphasising a commitment to further co-operation in pursuit of shared interests and common goals.
The meeting also reviewed bilateral topics of common interest.
The Kuwaiti Crown Prince welcomed HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s official visit to Kuwait, noting that it reflects the depth and strength of relations between both countries.
A lunch banquet was held by the Crown Prince of Kuwait, in honour of HRH Prince Salman’s official visit to Kuwait. Kuwaiti Prime Minister Shaikh Ahmad Abdullah Al Ahmad Al Sabah and senior Kuwaiti officials also attended the banquet.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister also met the Kuwaiti Prime Minister.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister noted that the historic and close relations between the two countries reflect the continued support of His Majesty and Shaikh Mishal.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister praised the Bahrain-Kuwait strategic partnership, referencing the shared commitment to expanding co-operation across various sectors, particularly within the economic and investment fields, in order to create opportunities that achieve common aspirations.
Frameworks to strengthen co-operation between the two countries and issues of common interest were also discussed.
The Kuwaiti Prime Minister expressed his appreciation for HRH Prince Salman’s commitment to supporting bilateral relations, wishing Bahrain and its people continued growth, progress and prosperity.
HRH Prince Salman later departed Kuwait for Bahrain. He was bid farewell by Shaikh Sabah and several senior officials.
HRH Prince Salman sent a cable of gratitude to Shaikh Mishal, Shaikh Sabah and Shaikh Ahmad.
In the cable, he expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality and welcome extended to him and the accompanying delegation in Kuwait.
HRH Prince Salman extended his best wishes for Kuwait’s continued progress and prosperity.
Earlier, HRH Prince Salman departed for Kuwait, accompanied by an official Bahrain delegation, which included Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Prime Minister’s Court Minister Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, senior ministers and several senior officials.
Upon departure, he was bid farewell by several senior officials.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister later arrived in Bahrain following an official visit to Kuwait.
