A proposal to acquire Al Malaki Specialist Hospital in East Riffa and convert it into a government maternity hospital is on MPs’ table on Tuesday.
The proposal, submitted by five MPs led by Bader Al Tamimi, aims to strengthen public healthcare services for women and children and address what legislators describe as ‘a long-standing service gap’ in the Southern Governorate .
