BANGKOK - Thailand's Bhumjaithai Party took a big lead in the country's general election with 50.7% of eligible votes counted, according to a preliminary tally.
Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul's Bhumjaithai had a sizable lead over the People's Party and the former ruling party Pheu Thai, according to a live count by the election commission.
