Two children have been injured in a road accident involving two cars today.
The incident occurred on Shaikh Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah Highway near Sitra.
According to initial reports, one of the vehicles lost control and struck the young pedestrians who were standing on the side of the road.
The children were immediately taken to the hospital for treatment.
Relevant procedures are being taken, the Interior Ministry said in a statement. The children's age was not revealed.
