The Bahrain Odia Samaj (BOS) held its annual general body meeting at a desert camp in Sakhir, during which the new executive committee for 2026 to 2028 was elected.
The programme, which laid out plans for a series of upcoming cultural events, was presided over by current president Ramachandra Sahoo, with former presidents Bishnuprasad Mohanty and Dinesh Mohanty, along with senior members Kishor Das and Bhabani Prasad Mishra in attendance.
Mr Sahoo highlighted the achievements of the current executive committee members and praised BOS’ sustained contributions to Indian communities across Bahrain and its collaboration with the Indian Embassy.
Joint general secretary Sarada Pattanaik delivered a welcome address, followed by a brief report on the organisation’s financial achievements, presented by general secretary Shantanu Senpati.
This programme was co-ordinated by sports secretary Amresh Panda and PR secretary Amarnath Subudhi, while cultural secretary Ankita Nayak concluded the event with a vote of thanks.
