Kuwait's Ministry of Interior has reiterated that individuals caught eating in public during Ramadan fasting hours could face up to one month in prison, a fine of up to KD 100, or both.
Officials confirmed that surveillance cameras in markets and near mosques will be utilised as evidence to document violations. Alongside these measures, the ministry has launched a comprehensive security and service plan for the holy month.
The strategy includes targeted operations against beggars found exploiting the spiritual atmosphere in commercial areas and places of worship. According to a source, specialised security teams will be deployed to apprehend violators and deter illicit profiteers throughout the period.
