PARALYMPICS – BAHRAIN Paralympic Committee (BPC) president Shaikh Mohamed bin Duaij Al Khalifa extended his deepest congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the occasion of the massive success of the Bahrain BWF Para Badminton World Championships 2026.
Shaikh Mohamed also congratulated His Majesty’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs and Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa; and SCYS first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
Shaikh Mohamed emphasised that Bahrain’s hosting of the event, organised by the BPC in co-operation with the Bahrain Badminton and Squash Federation, represents an historic milestone in the journey of Bahraini sports.
As the first country in the Middle East to organise the championship, the event reflected growing international confidence in the kingdom’s organisational capabilities.
Shaikh Mohamed expressed his pride in the organisational and technical success achieved under the patronage of Shaikh Khalid, and noted that the support and close follow-up were fundamental pillars of the event’s success, embodying the leadership’s commitment to Para athletes.
Shaikh Mohamed reaffirmed the BPC’s commitment to developing sports for Para athletes and enhancing their presence in international forums, in line with sustainable development goals.
