The Syrian Civil Defence successfully rescued a three-year-old boy, Abdul Razzaq Suleiman Al-Jubair, who fell into a 30-meter-deep well near Tabqa, Syria, on Wednesday evening.
The rescue operation lasted more than six hours and drew significant attention on social media.
The Civil Defence reported that the child's faint voice was heard from inside the well.
“His voice was heavy inside the well… it broke our hearts.”
Fortunately, he was brought out alive and is now in stable condition at the hospital for observation.
Wissam Zeidan, head of the rescue teams, highlighted the challenges encountered during the operation and emphasised the need for safety measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
