A Catholic church in Kuwait has launched an initiative this Ramadan, coinciding with the six weeks of Lent, to distribute Iftar meals to those fasting during the holy month.
The spokesperson for the church, Father Sulaiman Hifawi, was seen distributing the meals to passers-by outside the Holy Family Co-Cathedral in Kuwait City.
"This year, our fasting coincided with the fast of our Muslim brothers and sisters," Father Hifawi told the local newspaper, Annahar.
