Shops in Juffair along Shabab Avenue, known as the popular ‘American Alley’, suffered significant damages during Saturday’s strikes on the US Naval Support Activity base. Sonic booms from the blasts are believed to have shattered windows and glass doors in the immediate neighbourhood of the base during the blast. All shops along the street are closed and most of Juffair has been evacuated after the attack.
