The General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force yesterday announced that its missile air defence systems had successfully and effectively intercepted hostile Iranian attacks targeting the kingdom.
A total of 61 missiles and 34 unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed and neutralised.
It confirmed that all defence systems remain at maximum readiness to ensure the immediate and decisive interception of any further threats.
The General Command further noted that the use of ballistic missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles to target civilian infrastructure and private property constitutes a grave violation of the principles of international humanitarian law.
These indiscriminate and unlawful attacks represent a direct threat to regional peace and security.
