A Bahrain-based resident has received the prestigious Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) award in the Identity and Access Management category.
Indian expatriate Sreejith Pillai, a 36-year-old cloud security and identity architect from Kerala, becomes the third expert based in Bahrain to win the award and the first one to win it for work relating to security, marking a significant milestone for Bahrain’s cybersecurity and digital transformation landscape.
The award honours individuals who consistently contribute to technical communities, such as through blog posts, speaking engagements, forum help, or code contributions.
Through his technical platform, TheTechTrails, Mr Pillai, who has been in Bahrain for more than three decades, regularly shares insights on cybersecurity, identity modernisation, and cloud security architecture.
He also collaborates closely with Microsoft product engineering teams, contributing real-world feedback that helps enhance enterprise security solutions.
“I’m happy to receive this major recognition,” said Mr Pillai.
“I have dedicated a lot of time over the past 12 months, blogging and working on community sessions to help people with security related issues. It was all worth it, and I will treasure this achievement dearly.”
