More than 100 businessmen have urged the Bahrain Chamber to postpone the elections set for March 28 due to the Iran attacks.
Parliament's second deputy speaker MP Ahmed Qarata waved their petition in the chamber and also called for a postponement to the filing of candidates set to start on Friday.
"What kind of elections can be expected in such circumstances?" he asked.
