National Security Adviser, Royal Guard Commander and Supreme Defence Council secretary general Lieutenant General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa yesterday held a telephone call with US Secretary of State and acting National Security Adviser Marco Rubio.
They reviewed the latest developments regarding Iran’s hostile attacks on Bahrain, the GCC and the region, with both sides reiterating their condemnation of these attacks and the ongoing escalation, which violate state sovereignty and international laws and norms.
The call also underscored the long-standing relations between Bahrain and the US. They commended the progress achieved in bilateral co-ordination in light of the strategic partnerships and joint agreements between the two sides in various domains.
