HANDBALL – DEFENDING champions Al Najma were held to a 25-all stalemate by Al Tadhamun last night in gameweek 20 of the 2025-26 Khalid bin Hamad Bahrain Handball League.
Najma dropped points for only the second time this season as Tadhamun fought back from a 10-13 deficit at the half to forge the draw at the Bahrain Handball Federation Arena in Um Al Hassam Sports Complex.
Najma remained in first place on the table with 52 points and are already assured a spot in the Golden Square semi-finals, while Tadhamun stayed sixth on 34 markers.
In another game yesterday, Al Dair outclassed lowly Bahrain Club 37-27.
Dair held a commanding 19-11 advantage at the interval and did well to hold on to their big lead over the remaining 30 minutes.
Dair claimed their ninth win in 18 outings to improve to 36 points in fifth place, while Bahrain Club suffered their league-worst 17th defeat as they stayed in last place on 21 points.
