BOWLING – PREPARATIONS for the new national bowling season, which will be highlighted by the annual Shaikh Khalid Bin Hamad Al Khalifa Bowling Championship, were discussed in a meeting held by the Bahrain Bowling Federation (BBF) competitions committee.
The gathering was chaired by BBF board member Khaled Al Najjar, and attended by BBF secretary general Issa Taqi along with committee members Waleed Al Daraj and Ali Hilal, along with BBF administrative writer and accountant Mohammed Jamal.
The committee discussed the start dates for next season’s tournaments, including the Bahrain Bowling League, the BBF Cup, and the BBF President’s Cup, in addition to the BBF Super Cup and the Khalid Bin Hamad Golden Generation Bowling League.
The fourth edition of the annual Shaikh Khalid Bin Hamad Al Khalifa Bowling Championship – an event sanctioned by the international Bowling Federation, the European Bowling Federation, and the Asian Bowling Federation – was also discussed.
The BBF competitions committee stressed its commitment to developing a balanced calendar that meets the aspirations of players and clubs, and contributes to raising the level of competition, thereby enhancing the presence of Bahraini bowling at the regional and continental levels, and keeping pace with the successes achieved by the game over the past several years.
