The Deputy Prime Minister highlighted the importance of continuing to adopt the best international methodologies in leadership and administrative training, with a focus on concepts of digital transformation and artificial intelligence, to ensure the readiness of national cadres to meet the requirements of future governance and deliver government services characterised by flexibility and innovation.
Shaikh Khalid commended the role played by the IPA in supplying the public and private sectors with qualified national leaders and competencies, as an active partner in creating an innovative work environment capable of anticipating challenges and turning them into sustainable development opportunities, in line with the aspirations of Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.
IPA director general Dr Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Duaij Al Khalifa reviewed the overall summary of the institute’s results for 2025, where indicators showed exceptional performance levels, reflected in achieving 99 per cent in task completion and attaining the same percentage of the strategic objectives set for the past year.
Dr Shaikha Rana explained that the IPA’s strategic directions represent national targets being implemented according to carefully planned timelines.
These include reshaping the role of government to enhance the effectiveness of services and the efficiency of projects, contributing to building a prosperous economy and world-class infrastructure, as well as enhancing knowledge and creativity through sustainable investment in Bahraini citizens and ensuring optimal use of resources.
These pillars are supported by an integrated set of operational and support processes to keep pace with rapid changes.
Dr Shaikha Rana also addressed the institute’s steady operational growth during 2025, which came as a natural result of meeting the growing training needs in both the public and private sectors.
The IPA recorded a notable increase in the total number of trainees and programmes implemented compared to 2024, reflecting growing confidence in its outputs and its leading role as a strategic partner in institutional development.
The board also reviewed the observations and recommendations of the National Audit Office regarding the regular audit of the institute’s final accounts for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2025, and the institute’s responses and measures taken in this regard.
