BOWLING – FATEMA Al Qattan and Sultan Janahi were the champions of their respective competitions in the Bahrain Bowling Federation’s (BBF) schools’ championship, held at Funland Centre’s lanes.
The tournament was part of the BBF’s development programmes which aim to hone rising talents and prepare a promising generation of bowlers.
Al Qattan was first amongst the girls and she won ahead of Hajar Khaled in second and Nour Ali in third. Janahi was joined on the boys’ podium by runner-up Khalifa Al Thawadi while Faisal Bahr finished in third place.
More than 30 players, both girls and boys of various ages, took part in the event. BBF president Saleh Albufalah was on hand to present the winners their awards after play.
