Diverse artistic practices and visual perspectives were on display at the recently inaugurated exhibition entitled ‘From the Core to the Periphery: Kaleidoscope Journey’.
The event, hosted at Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (Baca) Art Centre in Manama, was staged in collaboration with the Bangladesh Embassy.
Bangladesh Ambassador Mohammed Rais Hasan Sarower and the culture and museums authority director general Farah Mohamad Mattar attended the programme, which was also graced by other ambassadors, diplomatic corps members, officials and prominent community figures.
Contemporary Bangladeshi artists Kuhu, Kanak, Jamal Ahmed and Mohamed Iqbal brought alive their cultural and artistic identity through visual compositions inspired by everyday life, nature, the human experience and reflections of place and memory.
The exhibition, curated by Nuruzzaman Kaiser, will remain open for public viewing daily, from 9am to 8pm, until June 17.
