His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday received US Representative to the United Nations Ambassador Michael Waltz at Gudaibiya Palace.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister highlighted the depth of Bahrain-US relations that continue to enhance across various sectors and areas of mutual interest.
During the meeting, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister underscored the shared commitment to bolstering the Bahrain-US strategic partnership and building on co-operation and agreements between the two countries, particularly the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA).
HRH Prince Salman highlighted the United Nations’ role in advancing international co-operation and strengthening collective efforts among member states to address global challenges.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister expressed his appreciation for the co-operation between the US, allied countries, and Bahrain through the United Nations system and its various entities. He emphasised the importance of further strengthening this co-operation in support of international efforts aimed at advancing global security, stability, peace and development.
HRH Prince Salman noted the significance of the bilateral partnership shared with the US and its role in effectively countering the hostile Iranian aggression, and recognised the US’s pivotal role, alongside allied countries, in promoting international peace and security across the region and the world.
During the meeting, issues of common interest, avenues to advance co-operation, and the latest regional and international developments were discussed.
Prime Minister’s Court Minister Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Foreign Minister Dr Abdullatif Al Zayani, Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and Bahrain’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Ambassador Jamal Fares Alrowaiei were also in attendance.
