The Maan (together) Programme Against Violence and Addiction won the Ideas Arabia International Award in its 18th edition in the Education and Training category as part of the Dubai Quality Group Awards.
It is one of the specialised awards recognising innovative initiatives and ideas with a tangible impact on developing institutional performance and promoting a culture of innovation and quality.
This achievement aligns with the directives of Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa to enhance innovation in security and community work and develop preventive programmes based on education, training and awareness.
These efforts contribute to protecting youth, promoting positive values and strengthening community security.
Ali Ahmed Ameeni, Director of Crime Prevention and Director of the Maan Programme, received the award in recognition of the programme’s excellence in preventive education and training through the implementation of quality initiatives and programmes targeting students, parents and the school community.
The award reflects the success of the Maan Programme in utilising education and training as effective tools for preventing violence and addiction.
It also reflects the programme’s success in translating awareness concepts into sustainable practical programmes that contribute to developing aware individuals capable of confronting risky behaviours and contemporary challenges.
