HIS Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, affirmed that His Majesty King Hamad’s commendation of the government’s efforts during Ashoora by providing the necessary preparations and facilities is a source of pride for all government entities.
He highlighted that the success of the organisational efforts was the result of the collective efforts and close co-ordination of various government entities, foremost among them the Interior Ministry.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister commended the diligent efforts of government entities, each within its respective mandate, in ensuring the success of Ashoora, praising the security and community services provided throughout the occasion.
He also commended the efforts of all relevant institutions and entities, particularly the Interior Ministry, the Islamic Endowments Council, religious scholars, ma’atam leaders, supervisory committees and volunteer field teams.
HRH Prince Salman expressed appreciation for the awareness and strong sense of responsibility demonstrated by all during Ashoora and commended the meticulous organisation and smooth implementation witnessed throughout this season.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister added that this year’s Ashoora was characterised by the highest levels of discipline and organisation, reflecting Bahrain’s openness as an inclusive society where peace and co-existence prevail, at a time when co-operation and coexistence have become essential to achieving the common good.
He affirmed that, under the leadership of His Majesty, Bahrain will continue, through its civilised model and strong national resolve, to serve as a humanitarian reference point in the practice of religious freedoms and respect for diversity, while remaining a centre that upholds the values of Islam and its noble principles.
HRH Prince Salman added that Bahrain will continue to be an oasis of security and stability, a beacon of peace, a homeland of coexistence, tolerance and security for all its citizens and residents.
Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa expressed appreciation for His Majesty’s commendation of the government’s efforts, led by HRH Prince Salman, during the commemoration of Ashoora, and for providing the necessary preparations and facilities to ensure the success of the occasion.
The Minister expressed gratitude to the King for his directives to provide all requirements necessary for the success of Ashoora.
He also commended the support of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister and his commitment to ensuring all means are available to safeguard religious freedoms, preserve social cohesion and stability, and enhance the spirit of cooperation and solidarity across society.
Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Minister and Islamic Endowments Affairs Council chairman Nawaf Al Maawda said that the commendation of His Majesty of the government’s efforts during the commemoration, reflects his vision of promoting the values of tolerance, coexistence and religious freedoms, while reinforcing Bahrain’s national unity and social cohesion.
