FOOTBALL – The 2026-27 Nasser Bin Hamad Bahrain Premier Football League will be kicking off on August 27, the Bahrain Football Association (BFA) has announced.
The kingdom’s governing body for the game issued the planned start dates for the new campaign, which is set to continue until May 31 next year.
The calendar features other leading competitions for Bahrain’s top football clubs.
Following the start of the Nasser Bin Hamad Bahrain Premier Football League, the age-group leads will be kicking off on September 10.
The Bahrain First Division, the kingdom’s second tier for senior men’s clubs, will then get underway on September 13.
The Khalid Bin Hamad Cup will then be played from December 12, while the His Majesty the King’s Cup, Bahrain’s richest annual football tournament, will kick off two nights later on December 14.
The single game Bahrain Super Cup has then been slated by the BFA for December 29.
