Kuwaiti authorities have arrested a content creator for allegedly promoting marijuana through videos posted on his social media platform.
The arrest was carried out after the suspect portrayed marijuana as a harmless substance and spread misleading claims about its use, according to officials.
The Kuwaiti Interior Ministry issued a statement saying the videos presented marijuana in a positive light and could have encouraged his followers to experiment with the drug, posing a threat to public safety.
During questioning, the suspect admitted to posting the content on his personal account. Authorities have initiated legal action against him.
