TENNIS – Bahrain Tennis Federation (BTF) president Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Mubarak Al Khalifa and BTF vice-president Shaikh Khalid bin Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa met with officials from the International Tennis Federation (ITF) as they attended Wimbledon in the UK. BTF board member Mohammed Al Sayed was also on hand at the grand slam.
The visit reflects the BTF’s commitment to strengthening its international presence and developing its relationships with sports organisations worldwide that are involved in the sport.
The BTF officials discussed prospects for joint cooperation and ways to benefit from the ITF’s development programmes and initiatives to support national federations.
They also discussed opportunities for developing technical, administrative, and refereeing personnel in Bahrain.
The BTF delegation also met with several officials from the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) tournaments, exchanging views on the latest organisational and technical developments in professional tournaments and reviewing international best practices in managing and organising tennis events.
