TENNIS – The Yousif & Aysha Almoayyed Foundation sponsored the Late Yousif Khalil Almoayyed Memorial Ramadan Tennis Championship 2026, organised by the Bahrain Tennis Club (BTC), reaffirming its commitment to promoting community well-being and healthy lifestyles and supporting community sporting initiatives.
Following clearances from the relevant authorities, the event successfully resumed, after being suspended earlier this year during the holy month due to exceptional regional circumstances - culminating in the final match and recent prize presentation ceremony at the BTC premises in Juffair.
The annual championship commemorates the legacy and contributions of the late Yousif Khalil Almoayyed, honouring his long-standing contribution to the sporting community in Bahrain.
The tournament brought together players from across Bahrain, celebrating sportsmanship, teamwork and healthy competition while strengthening community engagement through sport, added the organisers.
Representing the Yousif & Aysha Almoayyed Foundation at the closing ceremony was the foundation’s manager Ashish Shetty, who attended alongside Asia Motors Bahrain general manager Anas Abdulla.
Also in attendance were BTC honorary president Dr Ali Fakhro, general secretary Khaled Mohammed, and treasurer Mohammed Malallah, alongside board members, players and guests.
BTC representatives expressed their appreciation to the foundation for its continued partnership and contribution to the championship’s success and its ongoing commitment to encouraging sporting excellence and community participation.
The Yousif & Aysha Almoayyed Foundation remains dedicated to supporting initiatives that promote health and social development across the kingdom through partnerships with registered organisations.
The foundation congratulated the participants, finalists and winners, whilst thanking the BTC for successfully organising the tournament, adding that it looks forward to continuing its long-standing partnership.
