Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait (BBK) has launched its annual university internship programme ‘NextGen by BBK’.
A total of 55 students from various universities will benefit from first-hand exposure to the banking and corporate environment at BBK.
The course forms part of the bank’s wider approach to developing youth-focused initiatives.
“We are pleased to welcome 55 students to this year’s university internship programme, which reflects our continued focus on developing future-ready talent and creating meaningful pathways between academic learning and professional practice,” BBK Group chief human resources officer Sarah Jamal said.
“The programme is designed to give students practical exposure to a dynamic banking environment, while helping them build confidence, sharpen their skills and gain a clearer understanding of the opportunities and expectations shaping the financial sector.
“We view internships as a significant part of talent development, not only as an introduction to the workplace. Our aim is to provide students with a structured and engaging experience that allows them to learn from seasoned professionals, contribute within real teams and develop the mindset needed for long-term career growth.
By investing in students at this stage, we are helping strengthen Bahrain’s national talent pipeline and suppo rting the continued development of the banking industry,” she added.
