BEACH SOCCER – Al Muharraq Youth Centre, Saddad Youth Centre, Al Ma’ameer Club, and Al Ettifaq Club qualified for the semi-finals of the Bahrain Football Association (BFA) Beach Soccer League, currently being played at the BFA’s beach soccer pitches at Isa Sports City in Riffa.
In the fifth round of play, which featured three matches, Muharraq defeated Ma’ameer 5-2, Ettifaq triumphed over Delta Club 6-5, and Saddad beat Al Malikiya 6-3.
Muharraq therefore top the standings with nine points, followed by Saddad and Ma’ameer in second and third, respectively, also on nine points but with Muharraq holding a superior goal difference.
Ettifaq are fourth with eight points, Delta fifth with seven, and Malikiyah sixth with zero points.
The semis are to be played tomorrow at the same venue, with Muharraq taking on Ettifaq at 6pm and Saddad facing Ma’ameer at 7pm. The winners will advance to the final, scheduled for Saturday night at 7pm.
