An entrepreneur from the Indian state of Uttarakhand has successfully completed the maiden test flight of a prototype single-seat electric flying vehicle.
Ravi Tamta, founder of Hapida Sky, carried out the first test flight of the HAPIDA SKYNeX, an all-electric flying vehicle built using modified drone technology that is designed to improve transport in hilly regions.
Tamta said the idea for the vehicle stemmed from the difficulties of travelling across mountainous terrain.
According to him, a 40km journey that usually takes about 90 minutes by road could be completed in just 15 minutes.
