An 18-year-old Egyptian man lost his life while rescuing a group of swimmers from drowning at Alexandria's Bitash Beach on Saturday.
The incident occurred after six individuals were swept by strong tides into a dangerous, non-swimming area.
Ziad Mohammed Ahmed Mahmood rushed into the sea, managing to pull all of them to safety. However, he was overpowered by strong currents as he attempted to return to shore.
His body was later recovered from the sea by emergency services.
