Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) vice-president Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa received Kuwait’s Minister of State for Youth and Sports Affairs Dr Tariq Hamad Al Jalahma.
BOC board member Waleed Al Alawi and Bahrain Basketball Association vice-president Nader Al Awadhi were also present.
Shaikh Isa conveyed the greetings of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority chairman, and BOC president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa
He highlighted the deep-rooted ties between Bahrain and Kuwait and their continued development across various fields, including youth and sports.
Shaikh Isa affirmed the importance of strengthening sports co-operation and of exchanging expertise and experience between the two countries, and of supporting initiatives aimed at empowering young people and developing their capabilities.
He also praised Kuwait’s rich sporting history and prominent presence at the Arab and Gulf levels.
The meeting discussed areas of mutual interest and ways to further enhance sports co-operation between Bahrain and Kuwait.
For his part, Dr Al Jalahma affirmed his pride in the close relations between Kuwait and Bahrain and wished Bahraini sports further progress and success.
