Sharjah Ruler Shaikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi has announced plans to encourage retired public sector employees to re-enter the workforce on a part-time basis.
The initiative aims to bring senior citizens, their spouses, and other retirees back into government roles with greater flexibility.
Under the new scheme, returning personnel can opt to work three days a week and, in some cases, request specific working hours to suit their lifestyle.
Officials emphasised that the programme is designed to improve work-life balance and bolster family financial stability across the emirate.
