Stephanie Hallett, Ambassador of the United States of America to the Kingdom of Bahrain, visited the Gadeha Junior training camp. The camp is held under the direction of Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander, and is run in partnership between the Royal Guard and Studio Master.
Ambassador Hallett was welcomed at Exhibition World Bahrain by Ahmed Al Shaikh, Chairman of the camp’s Organising Committee and Director of the Media Office of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa. He briefed her on the Gadeha Junior concept, its objectives, and the programmes and activities it offers, as well as its role in providing a high-quality training environment that helps build participants’ character and develop their physical and mental abilities.
The US Ambassador viewed the camp’s training and educational programmes, which aim to develop young people’s abilities and build their character. She toured the camp’s facilities, including the training grounds and programmes attended by participants, and watched military-style training and activities focused on discipline, commitment, responsibility and teamwork. She also wore the camp uniform and took part in some of the challenges.
She was also briefed on the camp’s development and its success in attracting large numbers of young people, offering them a complete experience combining physical and mental training with personal and leadership skills development.
Ambassador Hallett commended the camp’s high standard of organisation and the variety of its programmes, commending the efforts to provide quality programmes for young people that develop their skills and give them values and experience that can benefit their character and future.
