Manama: The security and stability of Bahrain are red lines not to be crossed, Shura Council member Sawsan Taqawi said.
She urged a firm stance to thwart the exploitation of citizens to spark chaos and violence in their homeland with the intent to serve external agendas.
Ms Taqawi, head of Shura’s foreign affairs, defence and national security committee, called for deterrent sentences to be handed out to the perpetrators of the terrorist attack that targeted a police patrol in Sitra, killing two policemen.
“The suspects’ confessions confirm the implication of the secret Iranian hands of the Revolutionary Guard in attempts to subvert Bahrain’s security,” she said.
