Bahrain: Bahrain’s overall investments in Egypt topped $955 million by the end of August this year, it was revealed.
According to a recent report released by the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones, a total of 173 Bahraini companies are now investing in Egypt.
Financial investment projects carried out through 16 companies make up a major bulk of $475m, followed by industrial investments which topped $233m with 36 companies.

Bahrain has so far invested $127m in 12 firms operating in the agricultural sector, followed by construction investments which topped $84m with 17 companies and the tourism sector which soared to $23m with 12 companies operating in Egypt.
Bahrain has also invested $11m in 71 companies which are operating in the tertiary sector, followed by the IT and telecommunications with $2m invested through nine companies.
According to the survey, Bahraini investments are present in 16 governorates, with Cairo, Gizeh and Suez topping the list while Port-Said ranks at the bottom.
