Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada) said it had completed the preliminary works at Al Manayef project, an upcoming residential project spread over a record 4.1 million sq m area.
To be developed in the western region, the integrated city will see the construction of housing units for government employees with a host of other facilities and community services including hospitals, schools, parks and all necessary utilities and facilities.
Musanada said the work includes the construction of internal roads as well as utilities and infrastructure comprising a storm water and sewerage network, drinking water network and street lighting.
The buildings will come up on a total area of 2.66 million sq m.
Al Manayef project will be divided into 12 construction packages classified according to the type and location of the residential units.
The Abu Dhabi firm aims to complete the project in mid-2018. The city will be part of the promising modern cities that will effectively contribute to the comprehensive development project in Abu Dhabi due to its strategic location.
The city is expected to host approximately 27,000 residents throughout all its areas, with huge and modern infrastructure enabling the city to play an important role in ensuring population stability.
On the deal, Awaidha Murshed Ali Al Marar, the acting CEO, said Musanada was keen to meet the expectations of its prudent leadership who are aspiring to enhance welfare and development across all the regions of the UAE.
It has paid full attention to the western region, generating integrated plans to develop and grow this region based on a forward-looking vision seeking to achieve sustainable development of the region’s resources and economy, he noted.
