Emirates Steel, the only integrated steel plant in the UAE, is taking part in in the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (Adipec), which opened today, as a co-sponsor.
The leading global platform for oil and gas industry, being held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center, will run till November 11.
Emirates Steel, owned by Senaat, will display, for the first time at Adipect, its unique steel product range of medium, heavy and jumbo sections used for construction purposes in sectors such as oil and gas offshore and onshore platforms, and other electrical transmission and petrochemical industries.
Saeed Ghumran Al Romaithi, CEO of Emirates Steel, said: "Adipec is the ideal platform to demonstrate our expertise in providing the highest standards of steel applications specially developed to supply for oil and gas industry, it is an excellent venue to boost collaboration with our partners and industry operators, meet international experts and enhance our access to this market.”

Emirates Steel’s range of structural sections varies from approximately 200 mm to 1,016 mm in depth, including jumbo sections. Its heavy sections mill produces parallel-flange beams, columns and bearing piles with up to 1,016 mm web depth and 427 mm flange widths, and parallel flange channels up to 430 mm depth.
He added: “We look forward to continue the growth momentum with enhancements undergoing to produce new customized sheet piling designs, which will be manufactured in grades meeting the EN S355 GP, S390 GP and S430 GP standards”.
Emirates Steel, currently the only producer of jumbo and heavy sections in the Middle East, has been witnessing significant evolution in its endeavours to build its product portfolio of heavy sections. This involved the construction and operation of heavy and jumbo sections rolling mill at a cost of $1.9 billion and resulted in an increase in the rolling capacity of the Company to nearly 3.5 million tonnes per year.
