Muscat: The tenth edition of the Muscat International Film Festival (MIFF) got underway in the Omani capital.
The organising committee has lined up an array of short Omani films and documentaries, in addition to more than 100 foreign movies which will be showcased during the week-long event
The festival, which runs until Saturday, is being organised by the Oman Film Society (OFS) under the theme “Cinema Brings Us Together”.
Workshops and special shows on films focusing on women, children and football will be held as part of the festival.
The Muscat International Film Festival which was first launched in 2001 features in its 10th edition a variety of genres and cultures.
