MANAMA: The Gulf Hotels Group (GHG), Bahraini home-grown hospitality provider and owner of the Gulf Hotel Bahrain, took part in Arabian Travel Market in Dubai, billed as the region’s largest travel trade and consumer event.
During the event, Bahrain Tourism Exhibition Authority (BTEA) chief executive Shaikh Khalid bin Humood Al Khalifa visited the Gulf Hotels Group’s stand.
He met GHG chief executive Garfield Jones and Gulf Hotel general manager Fares Yactine, The K Hotel general manager Volker Mandlowsky and Asdal Gulf Inn general manager Hussain Al Samaheji.
The group’s stand at the event, promoting its hotels and upcoming projects including the Gulf Executive Residence in Juffair, the Gulf Court Hotel Business Bay in Dubai and the refurbishment of the Gulf Convention Centre, was praised by Shaikh Khalid.
Mr Jones briefed Shaikh Khalid that it was the group’s ninth year of exhibiting at the event. He also congratulated the BTEA chief on the Bahrain pavilion at the event, which was significantly larger than previous years and reflected the drive to enhance tourism in the kingdom.
