Dubai - South African national George Lubbe bagged the latest $1 million jackpot as part of the Dubai Duty-Free (DDF) Millennium Millionaire draw.
His big win came just three months after losing out on another $1 million jackpot which was won by a Japanese national.
The 51-year-old father of one who works as a computer programmer has spent up to AED15,000 in two years to try his luck.
Winner of Series 274 with ticket no. 2166, Lubbe said he had been hoping for the win for years. He is the fourth South African national to win the million dollars jackpot since its inception in 1999.
Lebanese expatriate Hassan has become the seventh lucky person to win twice in the history of the promotion.
He received his second ceremonial cheque, as the winner of Series 273 with ticket no. 0742. His first win back in 2012. He has bought 170 tickets worth more than AED 170,000.
