Spread over a total land area of 115,000 sqm, Dragon City is being billed as the first of its kind development in Bahrain, offering wholesale and retail opportunities to local consumers, trade customers and tourists.
Popularly dubbed as Bahrain’s very own “China Town,” the $100 million project is built on 115,000 square metres featuring a Dragon Mall, an Asian Dining Street and a car park accommodating 1,500 vehicles.
The concept was launched in May 2012 as a result of an agreement between Diyar Al Muharraq and Chinese company Chinamex, with construction work awarded to Nass Contracting.
The mall design, occupying a built up area of 56,000 sqm, is infused with Chinese architectural and cultural aspects incorporating over 747 individual retail stores and additionally, a 4,500 sqm area designated for warehouses.
