A Bahraini team has achieved positive results in the Ironman Hamburg 2019, managing to complete the event which is considered one of the best races in the world.
The Bahrain team members were Mai Al Haji, Abdullah Salman, Ahmed Habib, Ali Hassan and Mohammed Al Ruwaili.
The race consisted of a 3.8km swimming race, a 180km cycling competition and concluded with a 42.2km running challenge, featuring wide-ranging participation.
The team members thanked His Majesty the King’s representative for Charity Wor and Youth Affairs and Supreme Council of Youth and Sports chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa for support to Ironman sport in the kingdom, adding that Shaikh Nasser had been inspirational in their plan to take part in the international sports gathering.
