Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) honoured a host of contractors and vendors in recognition of their substantial support to its massive achievements in 2018.
Projects achieved span an array of fields such as public transport, infrastructure and other services.
The contactors and vendors were honoured by Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of RTA, at the event held at RTA’s Auditorium in Dubai. Several CEOs and directors of RTA were there along with the representatives of honourees.
Al Tayer presented the awards to the best service-providers in seven categories covering administrative consultancies, engineering consultancies, Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment for SME Development, small project and megaproject contractors.
He also honoured the best entities in two newly introduced categories namely the best commodity or service provider, and the best RTA agency or sector supporting SMEs.
The winner in the Best Administrative Consultancies Category was Arthur D Little Middle East followed by PA Consulting Services in second, and BSI Management System in the third spot.
In the Best Engineering Consultancies Category, the winner was Parsons Overseas Limited (Dubai Branch), the runner-up was WS Atkins and Partners Overseas with Al Turath Engineering Consultants in third place.
The best three firms in the Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment for SME Development were Madares Boutique Official Dresses followed by Alrayada Catering Services in the second place, and Al Arif Sons Travels in the third.
The winner of Small Project Contractors Category was Bin Hanif Electromechanical Works, while the second spot was bagged by Esnad Buildings Contracting followed by Kabri International Contracting in third spot.
In Mega Project Contractors Category, the winner was Gunal Construction Trading and Industry Company, the second spot went to Serveu, while Scientechnic clinched the third spot.
Commodities and Service Providers Category was won by United Motors and Heavy Equipment, the second place went to Epic Recruitment Services and the third spot was for Rolta Middle East.
Corporate Technology Support Services Sector, Corporate Administrative Support Services Sector, and Traffic and Roads Agency were the winners of the Best RTA Agency or Sector Supporting SMEs dealing with RTA.
Al Tayer reiterated RTA’s commitment to boost relationships with outsourced firms considering them strategic partners in supporting the delivery of various key projects.
"Felicitating these entities is a gesture of recognition of their roles in delivering premium services in 2018, which have definitely contributed to RTA’s achievements.
