Abu Timam Grant Thornton, a leading accounting and consulting firm in Oman, has appointed Tammam Al Mughairi as its new CEO, succeeding Nasser Al Mugheiry, who has been with Grant Thornton Oman for over 25 years.
Al Mugheiry will now take on the role of Executive Chairman of the company.
In his new role, Tammam will be responsible for managing and leading Grant Thornton’s Oman operations.
A leading business advisory firm, Grant Thornton is respected globally, as one of the major global accounting organisations recognised by capital markets, regulators and international standards setting bodies.
Tammam comes with a strong experience, and has been a partner at Abu Timam Grant Thornton, while being instrumental in driving the organisation’s growth, as the Deputy CEO, for the last two years.
He was also the Head of Advisory and helped grow the firm’s advisory practice, which now accounts for 43% of Grant Thornton Oman’s business.
With over a decade in the field of professional services, Tammam has a rich experience working with leading public and private sector organizations, having led and delivered engagements in external audit, business risk and transaction advisory.
